For many years, the ROOTS design of Gas Meters has provided high-quality equipment for measuring and monitoring Gas supplies. Over this time improvements have been made which keeps the G Series of Rotary Gas Meters, manufactured by Dresser, as one of the top models to use in a wide variety of Gas installations. The measuring of Gas by using two impellers rotating in accordance with each other allows for very accurate readings. Each rotation of the impellers is relative to a set volume of Gas that has flowed through the Meter. Under this design, the Meter can read at times of low flow and also when the duty is fluctuating up and down.
All of the G Series Gas Meters are supplied as standard with a Low-Frequency Pulse Output. The Pulse Transmitter installs into the side of the mechanical index display in order to connect the Meter for Automatic Meter Reading. *The Top Hat Filter is to be installed on the inlet of the Gas Meter to prevent harmful particles and foreign matter from entering the Meter internals and cause issues with the impellers.
Sizes of the G Series start at 50mm and are available up to 200mm, all with a flanged PN16 Connection. Installation is possible in both horizontal and vertical runs of pipework. For the largest sizes of G650 and G1000, the flow direction must be specified (e.g. left to right, top to bottom etc.)
