Handy tips for small bathrooms!
We may all dream of having an expansive, luxurious bathroom, with a double basin sink, roll top bath and walk in shower – but let’s face, this is a little beyond reach for most of our budgets and homes!
But just because you don’t have a massive budget, or a massive bathroom, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a lovely one!
There are plenty of ways you can creatively and cleverly design and decorate a small bathroom space to utilise the space, without breaking the bank! Here are our top tips for getting the most out of your small bathroom!
Install a corner sink
A corner sink can save you some serious space in a small bathroom! If you install some corner shelves above the sink you can store all of your toiletries without the need for bulky cabinets and storage units. This can make you bathroom more useable and convenient as well as making it feel more spacious.
Use your door!
Door hangers are widely available and incredibly useful! By hanging all of your towels and your bath robes on the back of your door you can save a lot of space by avoiding bulky towel racks or storage units!
Be careful of colours
In a small bathroom we recommend you use light, bright and fresh colours. This doesn’t mean you have to use boring colours, it just means you should avoid dark and deep colours as they may make the space feel smaller!
Mirror, mirror on the wall
We all know mirrors create space, so if you have a small bathroom it’s ideal! By having numerous mirrors in your bathroom you will reflect the light around and make it feel much bigger.
Lights
If you’re not blessed with a lot of natural light, create it! Buy some bright overhead lighting and some accent lighting around you sink and mirrors etc.
